Timesaving Packing Lists

“Always use these handy packing lists or your belt is automatically left behind.”
Bill P., Bastrop, TX USA

Savvy travelers create a packing list for each trip using our basic lists below and save it electronically or in a paper file. Having a list helps you remember to take everything that’s needed for a successful trip. Make two copies, one to leave at home and one to keep with your important travel papers. Now you have a checklist to make sure you repack each item at every stop. In case your bags are lost or the contents damaged, it is essential to have an accurate list with you and at home for insurance purposes.

When preparing for a new trip, review the lists on file to help you decide what to pack for the next destination. Make notes on your list when you return by adding comments such as “great travel pants” or “wrinkled terribly” or “never wore” so you remember what worked and what did not.

Simplify list making by printing out basics below and customize by adding your quantity and specific description. For example, where we list “tee-shirts”, you describe exactly which tee-shirts are packed:

tee-shirts (white crewneck, blue sleeveless, red V-neck)
